Can I earn CE credits? Who are they approved by?

Yes, you can earn CE credits. They are approved by the Commission of Accreditation for Prehospital Continuing Education (CAPCE).

How many CE credits can I earn?

You can earn 11 or 11.5 credits, depending on if you attended a super or regular session.

I was pre-registered for EMS Today, how can apply credit to the virtual ticket or receive a refund?

You should have received an email on 8/18 with instructions. If you did not or have further questions email us at and we’ll help get this taken care of for you.

How will I be able to access my CE Certificate?

More details coming soon!

I was in a session, but I didn't receive CEH for it. Why?

There are a few reasons why you might not have received CEH:

  • Entered the session more than 15 minutes after it started
  • Left the session before it officially ended
  • You need to be present in the room for 80% of the scheduled time to receive credit

If you think none of these apply to you, please contact Sara Jones following the show at

Is the program accredited for nurses and physicians?

The program is accredited for prehospital providers only - EMTs and Paramedics. It is not accredited for nurses or physicians, however they may submit their documentation to their respective accrediting organizations to receive credit.

I didn't attend a session for its entire length - can I receive partial credit?

No, we cannot grant partial credit for sessions. Sessions are accredited for the full time and we aren't able to split the credits.

When will you report the CE information to the accrediting organizations?

Please allow up to 3 weeks following EMS Today for all CE records to be sent to CAPCE. Also, please note, it can take up to 2 additional weeks for the states to process your CEH from EMS Today.

Does my state accept these sessions for CAPCE accreditation?

At this time, we have been advised that all states accept CAPCE accreditation. However, in some states, it may be up to you to submit your own CE hours. Please contact your local agency to see if this pertains to you!

How do I know which sessions are CAPCE accredited?

As of September 26, 2017, Clarion Events, EMS Today and JEMS is a CAPCE Accrediting Organization. Anything EMS Today offers (excluding co-located events), will be accredited by CAPCE.
