This year’s winner, NEMSMA Practitioner Mental Health and Wellbeing Committee utilized the opportunity to make critical change for EMS professionals suffering from stress, depression and suicidal thoughts.
The Code Green Campaign has been awarded the 2016 Nicholas Rosecrans Award for Excellence in Injury Prevention. The award is presented by EPIC Medics in conjunction with JEMS, The RedFlash Group, the NHTSA’s office of EMS, and Laerdal Medical in recognition of emergency responders who demonstrate leadership, commitment and innovation in preventing injuries.
The John P. Pryor, MD, Street Medicine Society Award is presented each year to a physician who has come up through the ranks as an EMS provider and constantly demonstrated a sincere and on-going dedication to the betterment of EMS on a regional or national basis through clinical excellence or educational, logistical and/or humanitarian initiatives.
