Former EMT, now EMS Medical Director, Dr. L. Michael Peterson has survived some of the most difficult challenges a responder can encounter, surviving unimmaginable physical trauma and emotional challenges.

We heard his compelling story about his love for public service, the tragedy that turned his life upside down, his miraculous survival through the skillful efforts and quick actions of his EMS/Firefighter heros, his long road to recovery and his ability to redirect his life and career and survive and thrive in the fast-paced world of EMS.
